Stieren Hall was designed by James Stewart Polshek, one of the preeminent architects of our era. It provides an exact acoustical match to the main outdoor theater, allowing it to function as both rehearsal space and recital hall. An elevated walkway connects it to the main theater, which allows sets and scenery to be shared. The mezzanine includes acoustically isolated practice rooms. Sixty-foot horizontal caissons anchor the building to its adjacent hillside.
